A while ago, I promised to share a few more finds from my summer trip to Merchandise Mart in Chicago…and time just keeps slipping by.  At least its still 2015…for a few more weeks.  My earlier post focused on trends found in tile, flooring and other surfaces.  This one?  All sorts of other interesting things I saw!  From the interesting to the absurd, here are a few photos.

Remember what I said about the Mart – it is huge…HUGE!  The building takes up an entire block and has its own zip code – its that kind of big.  merchandise mart resizedSo at the Mart, there’s room after room after room of materials.  Here’s just a few spaces.

Isn’t this table pretty?  World Market has an excellent low cost take on this table and instead of a four digit cost, it is under $500.  The World Market version has made its way into several of my stagings.  World Market is my friend.

Have hundreds of blouses and don’t know what to do with them?  This store specialized in closets for the rich and famous.  IMG_0687And finally, the item to top all items – a coffee maker.  You might be wondering why I’m finishing with a coffee maker.  How boring, right?  Except this coffee maker is like having a Starbucks in your house.  And at over $15,000 (yep you read that right), you can have one too.  After 3,750 lattes, it pays for itself!

I still can’t get over the coffee maker…
