Our latest stage of 2020 took us to a condo in Powell, Ohio.

We had the perfect inventory to complement the warm-toned walls and light floors of this beautifully maintained home.

We transformed the front bedroom into a home office, complete with accent chairs and a large world map canvas. Since home offices are such a hot commodity, we wanted to show the versatility of this space. Across from the home office is the dining room. We brought in green accessories to create a cohesive space to seat six. The kitchen was the center of the main floor with a separate pantry. It had direct lines to both the living room and the dining room, which is such a selling feature.

The living room was the perfect gathering spot, as it had direct access to the private patio out back. The corner fireplace was the main selling feature of the home, so we staged the room to bring attention to this wonderful feature. Finishing out the main level was a spacious master suite. We brought in more subtle green and gold décor to complete this space. What a cozy space for the buyers!

Going upstairs, we staged the loft with pops of blue to bring some fun into the space.

This space is perfect for the kids to relax and watch some TV or play video games! Turquoise and pink decor came together nicely in a flamingo-inspired bedroom with double twin beds. Yes, we even have flamingo sheets in our inventory! This room is perfect for weekend visitors or close siblings. Rounding out the top level was a guest bathroom and another spacious bedroom at the top of the stairs, where we staged as a camp-themed bedroom, complete with our tent.

Looking around at your home and wanting to refresh some decor?  We’re here to help!  Sending a little inspiration your way from six of our recent stages!  This blog post will be focusing on coffee table decor.

(1) For those who like boho décor: In this particular home below, we staged a bonus room where we featured a connecting yoga studio and bedroom to this seating area. We wanted to create the ultimate Zen area. We brought in a tray, especially helpful for an ottoman to create a flat surface for your items, and placed a tall plant to bring in height, and then a teapot and a candle to bring some Zen to the space.

(2) For those who like a modern with a pop of color: For this lower level space, we brought in some color and life to this coffee table with blue glass vases and coffee table books. A silver metal ball was placed on the coffee table books to finish the look.

(3) For the movie-lovers: Popcorn? Check. Glass bottles of your favorite soda? Got it. Bringing in a cozy area for binge-watching your favorite shows or watching new releases!

(4) For those who love more traditional/transitional décor: For this coffee table on wheels, we brought in more neutral décor with home and art coffee table books, a tall piece of greenery, a marble rock piece, and the “&” piece to bring in varying heights, along with tie into the neutral décor around it.

(5) Another example of transitional décor: Bringing in natural elements with the wood piece and plants to bring the outside in. On the other end of the ottoman we placed coffee table books.

(6) Lastly, for those who want to create a cozy atmosphere:  We brought in a faux fur blanket with wine and glasses for a relaxing evening at home.

Our most recent stage took us to a brand new home in Grove City.  This modern farmhouse has over 2,400 square feet of living space, four bedrooms, a first floor master suite, and so many more features packed into one house.

Working our way from the front of the house, we brought in an entry table and mirror with three tiers of accessories.  On either side of the mirror we brought in some of our fun finds from antique shopping – how cool are those gold mail baskets?!

We set a dining table for 8 plus a large console table to show off the spacious dining room.  Around the corner was a kitchen with peninsula seating for 3, including pendant lighting and quartz countertops.  A kitchen table for even more seating matched the gray cabinets, perfect for morning coffee and a good healthy breakfast.  The large family room with large windows overlooks the backyard.  We brought in soft decor to invite you into the space.  We brought in a dark blue and gold palette for a cozy master suite, complete with a bed, bench, seating area and dresser.

Finishing out the main level was a half bath and mudroom/laundry suite.

Going upstairs, the landing is the perfect flex space for all ages.  We decided to transform this space into a study area with a little modern flair.  A feminine blue guest bedroom was the next stop, complete with a reading nook, large dresser – just the perfect place for a visitor to feel right at home.  The guest bath with double sinks and a long counter is yet another bonus feature in this home.

Of course it wouldn’t be a Sanctuary Stage without us bringing in themed bedrooms, and this time we brought in the circus and sports themes.  The sports-themed bedroom even got a new addition – an antique locker!  We at Sanctuary Staging really enjoy blending new with old, and this home has the perfect combination of both.

Another stage where we worked with real estate agent Marcia Espinosa with Coldwell Banker King Thompson – we can’t wait to see how fast this home sells!

Our most recent stage took us south of Columbus to over 5 acres of open land and to this 4,700 square foot beauty.  This home, with updates throughout, was perfect for buyers who wanted to escape the hustle and bustle of city life.

Some of our favorite features include the first floor master suite with its own washer/dryer set up (how convenient!), the peaceful view to the massive back deck (perfect for grilling out on a summer day), and the separate and massive home office where we brought in some of our fun slanted shelves and decor.

A few other favorites include the Brazilian hardwood floors throughout most of the main level and 5 spacious bedrooms spaced out over the 3 levels.  One other unique feature of this home was a bonus room with 3 separate areas, which we transformed as a yoga studio, lounge/sitting area, and bedroom, where we mixed in some boho flair.

After staging this whole house, we were ready to jump in the hot tub on the deck and relax!   Enjoy the photos!

Our most recent stage took us to a 2 bedroom, 2 bath cozy condo near all the amenities of Fishinger Road in Hilliard.  The main area had open kitchen, living and dining rooms, perfect for having friends & family over for dinner & cocktails.  Sanctuary Staging added glamorous and modern decor with gold & blue accents to tie everything together, and we are happy to announce that this home flew off the market in 12 days (in January!).

This property was another great testament to the power of staging.  It was on the market vacant for months in 2019 with no sale.  Once it was staged, it went back on the market for only 12 days before it went into contract!  We love what we do, and we love working with homeowners and real estate agents that believe in the impact of staging!

If you’re looking for a luxury quality home in Upper Arlington with modern farmhouse appeal, you’ve come to the right place.  It is everything we imagined a home could be.

Be prepared to be “wowed” by a massive home office with peaked ceilings and its own fireplace.  A dining room for 6 sets the scene for the rest of the home, and opens into the grand great room.  A first floor master suite with a long hallway has its own door to the back patio, overlooking almost an acre of land (in the city!).  The master closet even has its own laundry space.

The team at Tuckerman Home Group really thought of everything when designing this home.  Around the corner from the main living area is a massive kitchen with island seating for 4 that overlooks a sunroom and breakfast area.  Double refrigerators and all-white matte appliances were other examples of how the builder stays ahead of trends.

Upstairs is a second-floor laundry room with 3 additional bedroom suites, including our dinosaur- and mermaid-themed bedrooms.  Lastly, the finished lower level with black concrete floors boasted a massive living area, including a kitchenette and a 5th bedroom suite.  Truly, we were all ready to move into this home of our dreams as soon as possible.

Our latest stage took us to a brand new home in Upper Arlington, built by Tuckerman Home Group.  This listing, with over 5,500 square feet of living space, was a quality custom home ready for its new owner.  The team at Tuckerman stays ahead of trends and carefully selects each fixture for their properties to create a cohesive look.

This home’s interior had a mid-century modern vibe with gold fixtures, and a great room with the most spectacular ceiling.  The unique kitchen had double refrigerators with a matte black finish, modern pendant lighting, and so many more features.

Sanctuary Staging kept consistent with the mid-century vibe throughout the house by bringing in sleek furniture and modern accessories, and we were so happy with the result.  The finished basement had 3 separate seating areas, a kitchenette and a pub area, and was larger than most apartments!  We had so much fun being creative in this home.

Our latest stage brought us to Upper Arlington, and this brand new home is ready for its first owner.  This is the best of the best when it comes to ranch living, complete with 4 bedrooms, a separate mudroom and laundry, and a fully livable downstairs, complete with a kitchenette.  A few of our favorite features we wanted to highlight were the open shelves in the kitchen, the massive master suite, and the separate closets off the master bath.  If you’re looking for luxury, this home is it.

Our final Top 5 post of 2019:  the top children’s bedrooms.  These rooms are some of our favorites to do, and each year we try to think of more themes to add to our inventory.  Let’s take a look at some of the top children’s bedrooms we have staged this year.

#5: Circus-Themed Bedroom – Westerville, Ohio

Elephants standing on balls, trapeze artists, large tents…these things all come to mind when you think of a circus, and exactly what we wanted to incorporate into our circus-themed bedroom.  This home was in contract in 8 days!

#4: Train-Themed Bedroom – Lewis Center, Ohio

A life-size railroad crossing sign, the customized railroad dresser by the local company Aardvark Furniture, and the adorable Sleepytown sign above the bed.  You can’t get much more adorable than that.  We had a hand in selecting the wall color, rug, floors and window treatments to make this room shine.  Other finishing touches include train sheets, a toy train, and the cutest little overalls hanging on the hooks.

#3: Dinosaur-Themed Bedroom: Columbus, Ohio

Brand new this year:  the dinosaur theme!  We certainly spare no expense when it comes to creating these memorable kid spaces.  Artwork in the shape of a brontosaurus and triceratops hang over the bed, dinosaur sheets and built-in accessories galore filled the room’s built-in shelving.

#2: Safari Nursery – Dublin, Ohio

We are always up for an adventure and ready to think outside the staging box.  For this particular home, we were challenged to stage a small bedroom that was connected to a master bedroom.  We have staged the popular safari theme as a kid’s bedroom before, but we decided to branch out a bit and create a safari nursery.  Complete with a crib, changing table and chair, we thought it was perfect for a baby, especially being so close to the master suite.  And it was a hit!  This home flew off the market in 4 days.

#1: Paris Princess-Themed Bedroom – Lewis Center, Ohio

We were ready to take the Parisian princess theme to the next level in this BIA Parade of Homes home.  The princess room is probably the most photographed and posted bedroom in this house. The fabric tulle made multiple appearances in this room, whether it was draping over the bed, on the dressform, or as a bedskirt. Our goal in this room was to create an ultra-feminine and beautiful space, and we are so pleased with the end result. Pottery Barn was generous enough to lend us the tulle bedskirt and the mini Eiffel Tower in the corner – the tower even lights up! Antique suitcases, a brand new vanity and an antique door with a crystal knob complete this adorable bedroom.  If I was a little girl again, this would be my dream bedroom!

The dining room:  a gathering space for friends and family to eat and bond over a delicious meal.  As we are deep in the holiday season, where some of us may only utilize these rooms this time of year, we know the importance of gathering and making memories around the table.  We see lots of laughter and passing home-cooked meals down the row.  Let’s take a look at some of our top dining rooms we have staged this year.

#5: Westerville, Ohio

This spacious dining room with seating for 8 was a perfect spot for entertaining.  It even had space at the front of the room for a couple of arm chairs for after-dinner coffee (or some cocktails and wine!).  This home was on the market in January 2019 and went into contract in 8 days.  Impressive!

#4: Dublin, Ohio

We consider it fate (or a hard-to-break shopping habit) when we have artwork that matches the room perfectly.  This spacious dining room with seating for six and blue accessories tied into the neutral walls and gorgeous floors.  Buyers felt the same way as this home was in contract in 4 days.

#3: Wingate Farms, Delaware, Ohio

This particular home within Wingate Farms had some of the most peaceful 360-degree views of its 2.7 acres of land.  We felt like we were at an upscale vacation lodge.  This dining room, being the first thing you see when you walk in the front doors, had to make an impression.  Creams and tans played off the wood trim, and modern art coordinated perfectly with the lighting.

#2: Evans Farm, Lewis Center, Ohio

This dining room is #goals.  We consider the centerpiece to be a showstopper.  We collaborated with Fortin Ironworks in Grandview to attach metal and transform the candle centerpiece to be memorable to all.  The wood itself came from a shipwreck off of Florida – how cool is that?  Custom artwork came from the talented local artist Dennis Rano, who perfectly envisioned and finished out this space.  The dark walls with high white wainscoting contrasted perfectly with the dark walls, and the lighting was modern and gorgeous.  Another room we were beyond excited to design AND stage.

#1: Grandview Heights, Ohio

An entertainer’s space in Grandview, near the heart of downtown, this home had brand new EVERYTHING.  We filled the space with a large table, an oversized console and mirror, and seating for 8.  We can’t decide which was our favorite:  the ceiling detail or the modern light.  This room made a statement, and we are proud of the final product.
