Staging Columbus Condos

This week’s staging was a cute condo on Bethel Road.  The owners moved on to a larger home, and working with a terrific agent, Young Mouck (can’t not say enough good things about her!!!), they decided to stage to help their condo sell faster.  Our crew had a great time painting and staging to help transform this condo from empty to fabulous.  Enjoy the pics below!

First up, the foyer, staged for a great first impression.

Staging Columbus

We’ve been so busy at Sanctuary lately it’s been tough to keep up with our blog!  Stay tuned for new posts in the coming weeks featuring our newest stagings.  For today, we wanted to share a few photos from a staged by Sanctuary listing in Columbus/Hilliard.

Before you take a look at the photos below, I wanted to give a shout out to one terrific and very talented lady – Karli Moore of Karli Moore Photography.  She took the photos below, and I have to say, her work is stunning!

Here’s the outside of the home…wow, right?!?

Staging Downtown Columbus

Sanctuary recently staged a historic home in Downtown Columbus.  With exposed brick in various areas, hardwood floors, beautiful woodwork and an all new kitchen and bathrooms, this home was a joy to stage.  This one will be hitting the market soon, and I’m sure that it will go fast!  Here’s a look at the finished product!

Awesome Art – Sanctuary Style

One of the questions that I hear the most is where did you get that art?  This week, I’m sharing some of my secret sources for the best art around.

While nothing beats an original by a local artist, several stores provide a great resource when trying to find the right art.  First up, my very favorite:  World Market.  I love so many pieces there.  Here’s one of my favorites – let’s take a close look, then see the art in a room styled by Sanctuary.

Another spot for great art?  Wayfair.com.  Here’s how we used a piece from Wayfair in a bedroom we styled.

Here are a few other rooms with great art – most of these pieces came from places like At Home, Pier 1, Hobby Lobby, Ballard Designs, Home Goods and Kirklands – a few more places for affordable art.

Merchandise Mart Finds

A while ago, I promised to share a few more finds from my summer trip to Merchandise Mart in Chicago…and time just keeps slipping by.  At least its still 2015…for a few more weeks.  My earlier post focused on trends found in tile, flooring and other surfaces.  This one?  All sorts of other interesting things I saw!  From the interesting to the absurd, here are a few photos.

Remember what I said about the Mart – it is huge…HUGE!  The building takes up an entire block and has its own zip code – its that kind of big.  merchandise mart resizedSo at the Mart, there’s room after room after room of materials.  Here’s just a few spaces.

light fixtures resize bath fixtures resizeThe choices are endless.  At any rate, here are a few more things I found, from the beautiful to the well, hmm, over the top.  There were tons of interesting lamps and lighting fixtures, but it is rare to see a lamp that gives you light in the base and on top…I wonder how much this one costs.

IMG_0691

Isn’t this table pretty?  World Market has an excellent low cost take on this table and instead of a four digit cost, it is under $500.  The World Market version has made its way into several of my stagings.  World Market is my friend.
IMG_0690

Have hundreds of blouses and don’t know what to do with them?  This store specialized in closets for the rich and famous.  IMG_0687And finally, the item to top all items – a coffee maker.  You might be wondering why I’m finishing with a coffee maker.  How boring, right?  Except this coffee maker is like having a Starbucks in your house.  And at over $15,000 (yep you read that right), you can have one too.  After 3,750 lattes, it pays for itself!

IMG_0679

I still can’t get over the coffee maker…

BIA Parade of Homes Design Trends – Holiday Inspiration

Coppertree is really smart.  Really, really smart.  In order to stand out in the BIA Parade of Homes, a couple of years ago, they began “Christmas in July” – decking their model out in all things Christmas.  As a result, they really stood from the pack.  This year, the theme was Christmas on the beach.  How fun!  In honor of the holidays, let’s revisit a few photos from this year’s home.
